What resources will you need to
carry out your plan (media segments, reading, experts or colleagues, etc)?
§
The main resource needed will be
the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and National
Education Standards for Teacher (NETS-T) websites
§
Internet access, SMART® Board, and SMART®
Technologies website, designated school SMART® specialist
•
What additional information do you
need?
·
Discover and research data-based
tools currently used in classrooms
·
Any feedback, questions, comments,
or concerns fellow colleagues may need
•
What steps have you been able to
take so far?
·
So far, students have been exposed
to lessons that come from the SMART® Technologies website. As a result, students
are more engaged during lecture and questions that are directed towards the
lesson are clear and relative. Also, less difficulties are present during the
classroom assignments given after the lecture which reveals the impact of the
SMART® lesson.

ReplyDeleteThe exposure of your students to the SMART technologies has engaged your students in all aspects of your class. It has been difficult convincing my colleagues in special education to use their white boards to their fullest potential. Since we are now in our last 10 days of class, maybe I can get them to use their white board to keep their students engaged. I will give them the following websites (they may be of use to you also)
Math - http://www.covenantworks.com/Bouncy-A/Math/index.htm
Social Studies - http://www.covenantworks.com/Bouncy-A/SocialStudies/index.htm
Tutorials - http://www.covenantworks.com/Bouncy-A/Language/Tutorials/index.htm
I will also give them the link to your blog. Maybe reading how technologies are assisting you in your class will give them the perception to use technology in their class. LaVerne
SMART technologies websites has is packed with fun activities for students to use during classroom activities. Students love the new technologies and they are a great tool to help students to stay involved and help them learn at the same time.
